The Story Behind SpikeShack
SpikeShack was born out of a simple truth: the love for beach volleyball shouldn’t end when the seasons change. After moving to the Asheville area and seeing the local passion for the sport—especially at places like Highlands and with the Asheville Sport & Social Club—we realized something was missing: a year-round, indoor beach volleyball experience.
That spark turned into a mission.
As athletes, parents, and community-minded individuals, we imagined a space that was more than just a place to play—it would be a hub for connection, wellness, and fun. SpikeShack brings the beach vibe to the mountains, offering a one-of-a-kind indoor sand facility where anyone—beginner or competitive player—can spike, dive, and laugh in a climate-controlled paradise, no matter the weather.
